We are always excited to shoot a wedding; however, it is not every day that you get a couple that puts an extra spin on it! We can't wait to see how Samantha and Eric's GATSBY inspired wedding goes down! Below you will be able to find all the information about their wedding, RSVP, and book a hotel!
First a note from Samantha on their journey to get here:
Our story began on a cool night back in May of 2010. Prior to that, we ran into each other multiple times never knowing we would eventually spend the rest of our lives together. Now back to the story, on that evening we ended up together by coincidence. Looking back we can say we made the most out of the uncomfortable setup attempt by a friend. We ended up enjoying a long walk together through the city streets of Kokomo before Eric returned me back to my house like a true gentleman not before asking for my number first. Shortly after he left I received a text message from him and the rest is history so they say. We would become inseparable.
We quickly realized we share a lot in common such as music, the love of the outdoors, family and Eric would probably say the number one thing we share is the love of riding our motorcycle on the open road. Being spontaneous was key to bringing us closer and allowed us to see that as long as we have each other we'll always have fun and no matter what be open, honest and be ourselves. How can we forget those first dates: having drinks at the Pumpkin Vine Room (PVR) with friends, going to an Alice in Chains concert, boating on Mississenewa Lake, sitting at the softball field watching Eric show my uncle Mark how to hit homers and the many motorcycle trips around the county.
A lot has changed over the course of our relationship; we are proud to say we share many personal successes such as our careers and being first time parents to two fur babies (Kash & Boo), and most importantly the faith we share that through our Lord and savior together we can accomplish anything.
Our engagement was simple and romantic. It took place on Thursday, July 23rd, 2015 at 6:45pm. I remember Eric texting me that he would be leaving work early for an appointment. Little did I know that he was going to pick up my ring in Chicago. So, when I got home we decided to go for a motorcycle ride to the beach in Michigan City. We rode down Lakeshore Dr. for a while and then decided to take a rest at stop 33. We walked to the little hut and looked out at Lake Michigan. I was ready to go eat dinner and started walking back to the motorcycle. Eric, however was not ready and said come back over here I want to show something. I had no idea what was about to take place as he pulled the box out of his sock. (Yes, he rode all that time with my ring in his sock. LOL) As I turned to him, he was down on one knee with the box in his hand, getting ready to open it. As he opened the box to say, Will you marry me?, the ring…..dropped to the ground and both of us said oh CRAP. He picked it up and dusted off the ring. We laughed and hugged. I, of course, said YES!!! We took some pictures and headed off to dinner to celebrate.
Eric and I are very excited and want to thank you for being part of this special day. We wish you all a safe, prosperous and healthy life.
